Please note that Halo Care Services is unable to process invoices for service providers who do not fulfill the essential criteria of the Home Care Package program.

Personal Care or Qualified Work in Home Care

If you are offering personal care, nursing, allied health, or other professional services, you must present proof of your qualifications, registrations, and licenses. This includes:

• Verification of qualifications relevant to the services you provide.
• Registrations with appropriate regulatory bodies (e.g., AHPRA).

Personal Care Services

Workers providing personal care must hold a Certificate III (or equivalent) in Aged Care. Personal care includes various forms of assistance, such as:

• Bathing and showering, including bed baths
• Grooming, shaving, and general appearance care
• Applying creams
• Dressing and undressing
• Oral hygiene
• Toileting, including using commodes or bed pans
• Changing continence aids and cleaning of private parts

Public and Product Liability Insurance

This insurance is crucial for protecting both our consumers and care providers from any potential claims related to the services provided.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

This insurance is essential for maintaining the highest standards of care and accountability to safeguard our care providers against claims of professional negligence or malpractice.

Workers Compensation

Workers compensation insurance is mandatory to protect care providers and their employees in the event of work-related injuries or illnesses. This coverage ensures that all medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and lost wages are covered, providing financial security and peace of mind.

• Please note that if you are a sole trader, an individual in a partnership, or an individual trustee of a trust with no employees, apprentices, or if you do not exceed $7,500 in remuneration annually, you are not required to register for workers compensation.
